ABOUT US

Turning Interest Into Action

Redefine Title IX at BVSD was started by Sophie Dellinger and Beatriz Sanchez. As members of the Fairview High School Class of 2020, we witnessed firsthand the damage of not having a comprehensive Title IX policy and sexual violence prevention program. We have spent months doing research on Title IX policy both in past administration's legislation and the current administration. Our goal is to spread our knowledge and hold the district accountable for their gaps in Title IX.

Beatriz Sanchez

She/Her/Hers

Beatriz Sanchez is an incoming freshman at CU Boulder College of Arts and Sciences. She wishes to pursue a bachelors in social psychology to then obtain her MSW. She is a social justice activist, researcher and creator on the Crown Institute’s “m.b.v.” Youth Team, and an Afro-Latinx youth. Beatriz hopes to one day work with diverse communities and advocate for them on a larger level.

Sophie Dellinger

She/Her/Hers

Sophie Dellinger is an incoming freshman at Colorado College. She wishes to pursue the pre-law track to then obtain her JD in civil-rights law. She is an advocate for sexual violence survivors and hopes to spend her first semester off working alongside survivors.  Sophie hopes to one day specialize in Title IX law and strengthen policy to be more supportive of survivor's rights.
