REDEFINE TITLE IX AT BVSD

Holding Institutions to a Higher Standard

Redefine Title IX wants to hold BVSD to its promise of equity. We believe that a strong Title IX policy is the foundation for effective sexual violence prevention programs to be built on. Through advocacy and awareness around the fundamental pieces of Title IX and what is missing from BVSD's policy, we hope to create a safer environment for survivors by making a more practical, efficient, and less burdensome policy.

ABOUT US

Redefine Title IX at BVSD was started by Sophie Dellinger and Beatriz Sanchez. As members of the Fairview High School Class of 2020, we witnessed firsthand the damage of not having a comprehensive Title IX policy and sexual violence prevention program. We have spent months doing research on Title IX policy both in past administration's legislation and the current administration. Our goal is to spread our knowledge and hold the district accountable for their gaps in Title IX.
